Oops - sorry. What happened to the thread about Manchester - I read it the other night but couldnt get logged on to comment but now I cant find it? The comment would have gone something like this - WHATS UP WITH YOU PEOPLE - tara etc? The first show of 2007 and we're crowing already. The dog winners - last years two top winners.... the bitch CC already sitting on 2 ccs and a quality female and the res - an established Ch who went far down the road at Crufts in representing the great things in our breed! You who come on to make trouble - AWAY YE GO! You question Loretta being beaten by Varina - when Loretta won a crufts... DID THE TWO MEET IN SAME CLASS AT CRUFTS? HAVE THEY NOT MATURED ANOTHER YEAR AND THEREFORE CHANGED A LITTLE? WAS IT NOT A DIFFERENT JUDGE ANYWAY!!! - IS IT NOT A QUESTION OF TASTE? Go find another hobby and let the enthusiasts use this database for the GOOD of the breed! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Congratulations to Manchesters winners - well done to the Halls on yet another female champion. Top ten breed council results for 2006 will be in the Crufts Issue of the BC Mag.

I rarely post but I had hoped we would get through this year without all the slagging off of dogs like we had last year. Congrats to the Halls on Varina's new title and to all the winners. Jozolli, do you know where I might find the BC top ten results, I'd like to know where my girl landed up. Thanks.

I also put a post on the board about Manchester, positive comments about the very worthy winners, but next time I looked, it had gone again. Apparently Manchester comments have been posted 2 or 3 times on this board and dissapear immediately. Its good that the board is being censored from unnecessary and unrealistic comments, but annoying to the rest of us that want to get on with enjoying our hobby and the friendship of others. Oli - why not get a point system together and say, .... person that causes the board to have subjects wiped off perhaps three times gets wiped off the database for good themselves. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jozolli posting above, even though we know it, it reminds us of why dogs change places at shows, and it does of course, make very good sense. Mo - Mascani.

Been lurking round this board for quite a while now, I'm new to Shepherds and am shortly getting my first puppy, and hopefully try my hand at showing. I can't believe the back biting that goes on, I have been interested in the show results for the Uk for the past year and the dogs that did wellat Manchester seem to be the best in the Uk at present, so why all the backbiting. It is very off putting for newcomers to the breed to see and would hate it if my dog was slated on this forum if it was ever lucky enough to be placed at a show. Experienced owners should be welcoming people to the breed, instead of critising others dogs, it certinly makes me wary of asking for advice from people within the breed.

Ann The BC results are my job this year - if you want to e.mail me i could probs tell you where your female is - they are currently unofficial as I run final double treble checks before they go to sheila for publication - lol The Crufts issue of the mag should be the first they are seen in full i think. As they were not tallied throughout the year it has been a long task but they will now appear 3 monthly in the mag as we go through the shows. Well thats the plan anyway - lol!

Thanks Mo Its a real shame that so many of these threads go to waste. I've had real good natters on here - chewing the fat over one dog or another... But i've also been involved in my own share of malicious tripe... I have been around the breed many years and have some very good friends here - but I am constantly learning and developing - we all are - just few admit that! The active, progressive, enthusiastic breeders, showgoers etc exist here - otherwise I'd disappear like many others have. People forget this is an international site - i read some of the american slanging matches or the indian threats etc and wonder what the breed is like in these countries - so im sure several countries think the UK is full of brawling, cheating, malicious breeders and owners with second rate political champions and axes to grind! Lol. In truth... i think of the classes at national shows past and the real gems which appear in the rings from time to time. The true greats who you always remember. Dogs who can hold their own in any competition and give you a type to aspire to. Hmmmmmmm - i feel a rant coming on so im gonna call it a night. maybe 2007 will bring a united breed. Whoops .... flyin pig!
