Words the judge uses when critiquing a dog are quite specific and sometimes confusing...
Lets start a list that translates some of these words, I'll start.......
Strong/medium strong = bone mass - lets are thinker on a strong dog.
Close/slightly close in the back = cow hocks
Close/slightly close in the front = front legs too close together
Dry = tight lip, no excessive loose skin on body
Wet = sloppy lips, excessive loose skin on body
Lips a little loose =
Angulation...........refers to angles of shoulder and also hind legs.
good = not that great
very good = not bad, but not great either
correct = very, very good
absolutely correct = perfect
Croup.......refers to length and angle of pelvis.
good length and lay of croup.........best
could be a fraction longer = slightly short croup
could be longer = short croup
a little steep = slightly too steep
steep = too steep
Expression = overall look of the dog, not just its face.
Type = overall looks like a german shepherd should
Stretched = long body
Pigmentation = coat and skin color
Please add to this list...
