how near was she to a heat cycle?  left looks very good.  right is at least fair, possibly good.  i don't see anything
that should cause concern.  she should be able to perform well in any discipline.  if you do the ofa @ 24 mo, i would
make sure she is at least 1 mo away from a heat cycle.

Thanks for the input. I sent in prelims to OFA and they said mild dysplasia. It looks good to me and I had two different Vets agree. Anyone else have an opinion that would be much appreciated?

i truly don't agree with dysplastic.  no doubt that right hip could be better, but half the femur head is in the socket & that is why i say the dog should
be able to perform any discipline.  keep her fit & in good shape.  she should do just fine :)  best of luck.

I agree with OFA. The heads are losing their round shape and there is some remodeling.  The edges of the sockets are beginning to deviate cranially and the necks are not well defined; they are as wide as the heads.

You can always do her again at 24 months. I had 2 littermates that were rated mild on their first xrays, good on the second ones.  I doubt she will ever have any issues and as Ziegenfarm has already said, she should be able to perform any discipline.

I bet OFA recommended exraying and submitting in six months? This dog will likely pass at two.

At this point, I agree with OFA, but I had a female who had moderate graded hips at 9 months and at 24 months passed with good. I changed up her training and added hours of swimming each day. Everything tightened up, she is 7 now and shows no signs of any problems.

Positioning is not correct, with better positioning hips may look better.

Look at these hips. These are x-rays of the same female taken at two different vets /don´t care about two names in the pictures - Axa in the 1st and Sheila in the second, she was called Axa by her 1st owner, now she is called Sheila/.

these are the areas I find trouble with.

these hips graded as good.

hope this helps.
