We live in AZ.  Snow is a rarity in this part of the state. We have about three inches on the ground.  Our property is an acre, most of it enclosed in a block wall.

There are my kids and five neighborhood kids outside having a snowball fight. Our shepherd is crying at the gate when they are outside the wall then she streaks around the house, through the dog door and stares out the window and whines.

When one of them ducks into the back yard she somehow knows and runs out the dog door and along side the poor sap getting snowballs thrown at them by the other kids that run in after them.  She catches about half of the snowballs before they hit their target.

Every time a kid scoops up a handful of snow she scoops up a mouthful of snow. I swear she thinks she's making a snowball!

She reminds me of Steve Martin, in the movie "The Jerk" when he thought he was black.  I hope no one ever tells this dog she's she's not a kid! She'll be devastated.

As many breeds as I have owned, Shepherds are the smartest of them all!
