My female was drawn yesterday and results today came back 4. Vet recommends to start breeding today...The stud I had arranged is breeding another female so ready Possibly Friday but Saturday for sure. We expected her to be ready this weekend and coming Monday. I don't want to miss her should I be trying to find a different stud? This progesterone is new to me as I've always had the male on site.

A 4.0 is still early. I would breed 3 to 6 days after a 4.0 result. Many vets want you to breed too early and I guarantee breeding at a 4.0 really diminishes your chances of a litter. She may not even be flagging yet. Taking females too early to a male sets up another set of circumstances your vet probably doesn't factor into the equation. The female may not even want to breed. Those girls can be frigid and a bit on the savage side when they don't want a male back there. Lots of things can happen and none of them are good. You really have not confirmed ovulation with a 4.0 and it takes 2 days after ovulation for the eggs to mature. Here's a link you may find helpful. http://caninesemenbank.com/Progesterone_Testing.html

Oh this is good to read. So maybe Friday/Saturday won't be too late. I really have my heart set on this breeding...

She just seems to come in fast, and was actually just in heat end of August and didn't expect her to come in again already..

No puppies this time regardless of what the the test says. Three months is too soon for the lining to support a litter. Plan your stud arrangement accordingly. If she's a young female, she may self regulate the next time.
