Two Moons

by Two Moons on 22 November 2013 - 19:11

May 29 1917- November 22 1963
Our 35th President gone but not forgotten.

No one else brought it up so I decided I would now.

I was in first grade, I remember coming home and my mother was sobbing, glued to our black and white TV.

My Uncle Jack worked for B&O railroad and they transported Kennedy's Christmas tree the first year he was in office.  When the train came through Baltimore, my uncle got a pine cone and my Aunt Ann still has it :)

I watched it all as it happened, I was 10.

This country will forever be changed.

Too many great men of the day were murdered.

Too many.

Watched the NOVA special.  Amazing the fortitude he had to press on despite his failing health.

That hardly describes the man.
We will never fully understand what was lost that day.

I am kind of tired of the media and the continued spin still to this day.

My mother was watching the History Channel Special about JFK and came downstairs to dig out her Kennedy "treasures".  She really has some too!  All of the newspaper articles from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and the now defunct Pittsburgh Press, as well as Life Magazine, from his inauguration to his assassination.  I took pictures, but I can't post them.
