Which company do you prefer? Apple seems to be the greediest of the two.

Samsung fund some dog activities and rescue services, as a sponsor,
as I understand it, so on that alone I'd probably choose them over Apple.
All big companies are greedy - the only way to have nothing to do with
that as a consumer is not to buy their products. Buy small, buy local,
and you have more chance of supporting firms with 'old-fashioned' values
rather than drive to make more profits / feed their shareholders. Unfortunately
that usually means going without some items ...

It's not so difficult "going without". I haven't had a cell phone for 2 1/2 years and I don't miss it. I haven't had cable for about 4 years and I don't miss that either. Now, if only I could beat my computer addiction, I'd be set!
