I had to get some half and half on my way home tonight, so I stopped at the local 7-11. As I was checking out, I spotted brownies on the counter and took one. The clerk asked if I'd tried them yet and I said "no". He went into a comedic routine about him and the other clerks buying all of them when they first got them in. He said they each had 3 or 4 a day. If you could have seen his demeanor while he was relaying this, he just cracked me up. He's probably a stoner, those are the kids I like. They're always humorous and mellow, more adults should take note.
Anyway, it was a refreshing change to have a truly happy person doing a job dealing with the public, they're few and far between. I walked out literally LOL. He was the brightest spot in my very public day

What was your very public day all about?
Having a buzz while dealing with the public should be mandatory..

I find it fun sometimes to mess the clerks up, because "cashiers" or "clerks" don't know how to make change without a computer these days. If the total comes to $6.27, I will hand them $11.27. Then watch the look of confusion hit them. If they are stoned, I could be there all day or night waiting for my change!
