FYI.....These are the same Bully Sticks that caused Cisco's upper GI problems....(lacerated and ulcerated esophagus and ulcerated stomach).... Within 7 hours of eating one he began vomiting uncontrollably and had severe diarrhea. Yes...I had been feeding him that brand and flavor as a treat for months and he never had a problem with them. Then out of the blue he has a violent reaction to one. I have been told that they (Canine Caviar) has recently (within the last 6 months) has changed the preservatives. I don't know why he suddenly couldn't tolerate them anymore, just that it was a very scary experience...enough that I wont be feeding any of my dogs bully sticks ever again. For those of you who might think....he probably ate something that she didn't see....I can assure you that isn't the case because days later he pooped pieces of what looked like rolled leather. When I showed it to the vet they told me it was pieces of the bully stick and they (dogs) do not digest them well. Also, I have the endoscope pictures showing the mess his esophagus and stomach were in.
Though you guys might like to know......I hope you and your dogs don't have to ever go through what Cisco and I did.

My dog crunched these up like popcorn..expensive popcorn. 'Bully sticks' are hardly a match for heavy chewers, and doubtful they have anywhere near the bioavailable nutrition of a fresh beef knuckle bone.

Hmmm. They shipped my order already. Did you tell them you thought it was their product that caused Cisco's problems?

Both dogs appear to love them and have not suffered in any way. I seem to have a batch about two months old. They came yesterday, and they first ate one when the box came by FedX. They seemed to know the box was for them. The FedX guy never opened the gate to deliver the package. Had to hand it to my youngest son, who asked the delivery man, "So, what's the matter? You are scared of my dogs?"

Be glad he didn't open the gait. The UPS guy left a friend's GSD out the door, it ran to the road and got blitzed by a car.
I ordered these bully sticks too. Now I'm wondering if I want to give them to her.

Mine have the e-collars for the fence/gate. There is no way they will go out that gate. Sorry for your friend!
Well, mine have done just fine on them. I can not begin to understand what happened to Cisco. The ingredients on the label doesn't list a preservative. Maybe they don't use one any more?
