I thought I'd gotten pretty hardened to what people are capable of doing to animals, but this one really got me!
If you're debating about clicking on the link, I encourage you to do so. The resiliency of young animals is amazing. Although disfigured, this pup is making a good recovery, and already playing with its caregivers and other animals in the shelter.

Unfortunately, this seems to occur more often with the anger and despair that is more prevalent in today's world, poor diet/nutrition, less parental/caregiver teaching of empathy and respect, more sensationalizing in the media of cruel and criminal acts, and so on. We had something similar and the idiots put it up on Facebook, Tumblr, Vine. They were caught and charged. I still say we need a national registry of those convicted of animal abuse and neglect complete with pictures of those convicted and more punitive penalties once convicted. People are sick and I have heard from the very evil beings that have been cruel to animals at my last forensic site and yup they were either serial killer or one in the making.
