Ramage

Just turned 18 weeks. I am liking just about everything with this pup. That said, does anyone else feel like his wither is a bit flat? If so, will he grow out of that? I won't cry and throw things if he doesn't, just curious.

Its hard to really say with the collar on and you standing behind him with that colored shirt on??

Well, it was a spur of the moment photo so my apologies for not having on appropriate attire.

In the picture he is a tad flat  could be the growing stage he is going through and thus may get better with age

Not knocking what you have on at all, just that the contrast is difficult to see exactly the topline. Is that a big tag hanging off the collar in his wither area?  He's a very hansome puppy! Love the pigment, nice headpiece, well angled.

Yes Ramage he does look to have a sl. flat wither at the moment
(although it is difficult to see properly / be sure, because of the
pattern on your shirt directly behind).  But also yes, he is still very
immature, and it could well look better as he grows.  You actually
don't want the wither looking too developed at this age, 'cos
that might mean he turns into one of the very 'stallion' looking dogs
with a rather high wither - which can go too much the other way !
Also maybe creating a distinct 'dip' behind the wither, which you don't
want either.

I think he's a very nice looking, well put together puppy so far.

Thank you Hundmutter! I hadn't thought about it, but what you say makes perfect sense. I will not worry for now and wait and watch :-)

Cmills, I know you weren't knocking me LOL. Yes, that is a giant dog tag. I've had an issue with younger dogs ripping off the hanging tags, so I switched to larger tags that can slide onto collars.

This pic was taken right after a herding lesson. I decided since my hubby was there to photograph that we'd snap a quick confo shot.

A beautiful boy, I too would like to see a better picture to critique him, for now Ditto Hundmutter

For his age, nice bone, nice profile, overall a very pretty boy.  good luck with him.  Nice feet also...  my pet peeve...Clever

have no idea what i am talking about but nice dog, good bone and pigment, ears are obviously strong, head is my preferred shape and has a nice gradually sloping top line. as far as dip in wither 9 /10 times you can pat it down or fluff it up and the experts will be confounded.
