Happy to see that the cheaters and schemers from the AWDF Championship and WUSV Qualifier got what they deserved in 2013 .. nothing!!  The USA FCI team was second at the "real" world IPO championships thanks in large part to cheating Balabanov and Ebor at the AWDF Championship.  Had the USA FCI team had Balabanov and Ebor on the team they would most likely have won the FCI but Karma is a bitch. The "over qualifiered" USA WUSV team needed the biased and cheating judging of USCA judge Caputo to repeat the "ficticious results" achieved at the WUSV qualifier 2013.  The Germans won their own wuSV championship and the entire dance of IPO politics, cheating, and lies begins anew almost immediately for a repeat in 2014.  So long until this time next year when the scenario will play out the same as this year and last year.

So how come the top US team score was from Chris M and Danger? I thought UScA had all the top dogs on the team and WDA didn't deserve to be there? It kind of looks like the GSDCA/WDA pulled off a successful World Championship despite all the naysayers.:-)

Yep, Chris M and Danger (yes the dog should be acknowledged) got a perfect 100 in obedience tracking ( that's what IPO tracking is ) and were the only dog/handler team to do so.  The event was a GSDCA event .. the GSDCA-WDA was supporting the GSDCA as they were the official hosts for their 100 year anniversary.  The GSDCA-WDA was not responsible for the event .. just did most of the work and got all of the criticism.  The event will likely turn out to be a financial disaster and a break even at best.  I haven't seen one national news report on the WUSV event so I guess it is fair to say the citizens of the USA could care less about the WUSV.  It was a tempest in a teapot and now the teapot is empty.

I would say that the vast majority Americans could care less about IPO in general. It has nothing to do with WUSV, UScA, GSDCA or GSDCA-WDA.

The vast majority of Americans that purchase German Shepherds want dogs with a Lab's temperament. Its a cultural and educational thing.

It was a very nice event, good people, facilities, hotels, very few glitches, and everybody there I talked to were enjoying themselves. It was about the dogs and fortunately the people with agendas or who are negative mostly stayed home. It's about the dogs and dogs only for me, that other stuff is for Internet and people who rarely train.

Right on Gustav.  Sometimes I think some people exist purely to be as miserable as possible

I agree with SitasMom about Americans and the IPO. The vast majority of american people have never heard of the IPO/Schutzund. It's not the cultural icon it is in Germany or the rest of europe.
Heck most americans would think it's some sort of Nazi dog training thing left over from WWII right?
The closest thing you can find to Americans and Dogs + National interest is Westminster. Honestly.
How many people were entered in this past weekend's trial? Less then 100 right?
But our quarterly Agility trial put on by my local dog training club brings in more people. I think we have 500 runs a day per each 3 day trial.

IPO is been too secretive for too long. I had to know somebody, to find a trainer and get my dog started. I've had dogs myself doe 20+ years and this is my first attempt at the sport.
I could have gotten started in Hog hunting with dogs much sooner if i like eating pork. It's a sport in the south and almost everyone local has heard of it, but IPO, what's theat?

Chris and Danger did great and i'm real proud of my trainer and his dog. I would like to know why Danger pulled out of the 6th blind. Something i've never seen him do before!
But the rest if his performance looked pretty good.

The USA should be represented by US bred dogs and not all imported dogs born and trained overseas by German, Czech, and Belgian breeders before they set foot on US soil.  The USCA got Okane and his 8 year old dog on the team by rigging the qualifier and the AWDF championships.  Maybe if Okane and Max go to the WUSV until Max is 14 they will win it but it would be better for the USA as a nation to produce their own GSD dogs and send competitors to the WUSV who haven't been 10 times before instead of having a cheating USCA judge send as many of the same USCA regulars as possible.  2014 will be the final year for the WUSV qualifier for the USA team if the USCA cheats as they have in the past at the qualifier .. not sure they can stop cheating as it is part of their culture and DNA.
