Let's play "guess the breed" with my newest dog. I adopted her in May, 2013. She is a shelter reject, was going to be euthanized for "biting" someone at an adoption event (she was terribly mouthy, has gotten so much better, but she's actually very sweet and can be soft with people when she's not all amped up) when a good samaritan pulled her from the shelter that day, fostered her, and adopted her out to me. We're saying that she was a year old in May, but we don't know. She is 27lbs. My friends say she looks bigger in pictures than she really is (I can carry her around, but she's not a dainty little toy dog). Yes, one ear is always folded. She might be one of those "so ugly she is cute" kind of dogs, haha. I call her "Indy" because I got her in Indianapolis, lol.
Last month

Happy face

I do flyball so I like to think she's a pit x whippet, lol

She can "frog" her legs

She does flyball now

She LOVES to tug and has very high food drive (I use both)

With her new big brother, who is glad I finally got a dog that will play tug with him and can actually put up a fair challenge (they love to tug on pieces of shredded Jolly Ball)

Both absolutely gorgeous. I love your boy's snowy whiskers in his lovely dark mask. In the UK we have a X that we call a bull lurcher, which is a bull breed crossed with greyhound/whippet/sighthound That would be my guess. Lovely!

Kind of Pinscher X Whippet maybe? Cute one, got a good looking friend !!!

Except for the coloring she looks exactly like my friends pit/boston terrier mix. Sane size and build. Luna does have a funky little half tail, sort of a half way between a normal pit tail and a boston screw.
But she has the flop ear and all.

Cute!
Everyone that meets Indy says there is some pit. Some think she's just a poorly bred pit. She has a BIG head on a little body. As you can see her head is almost as big as my male GSD even though he is 70-75lbs and she is 25-27lbs. She has a big/wide mouth. She acts just like the other terrier mixes and pits or staffies that I see at flyball. But the rest of her is skinny and she's not as dense or muscled.

I was trying to post this other pix of Luna, so you could see her body.
They could be sisters!

She's a real sweetie and also could have been a super little flyball or agility dog had someone shown interest.
Maybe your girl is a Jack pit? I've seen those crosses at the flyball runs. And Jack/ border collie too.
Enjoy her she looks like a lot of fun in a tiny package!

Oh she BARKS! That was a pre-req, lol. I can't stand the smaller terriers that have that monkey squealy bark/yip. Indy has a real deep, growly kind of bark. In the first vid she barks a few times at the beginning, in the second vid you can here her do the more growly bark. She can also make this noise like Chewbacca, lol. Sorry the vids are boring flyball drills.

I see sighthound and Pit. Frog legs are classically bulldog, conformation is a split between. Chewbacca sounds are like my Pits, too. I had a sighthound cross until today. RIP, Slim. Quite the character; I like them very much. He was a Lurcher type.

D'awww, she is a cutie!! I'd agree pit x some kind of sight hound.... whippet would be believable! I love her coloring and her smile. You said she's about a year, so perhaps she'll fill in a bit yet as she matures.
