Oh My!!,,Number 14 just arrived on the scene Saturday chasing behind one of my female adult cats,,A male kitten about 12 weeks old with a bad leg,,Cute as a button...When I saw him in tow behind my female Boo, I tried to ignore him hoping he would go back to where he came from..No such luck he followed me right to the house,,We went to the neighbors to see if it belonged to someone,,~~Yeah right!,,~~ Long story short his name is Spooky aka # 14.........

I am struggling with worry over all these cats,,I have the means to take care of their needs, but I worry what will happen if down the road something happens,,I don't feel I have any options , other than to neuter/spay and keep them ,No one wants a kitten let alone an adult cat,,No one, but me and my family apparently.,,I love each of them and don't mind making the sacrifices that are necessary in being a private cat rescue lol,,...It started 10 years ago when we built our home in the country it was as if I had a sign at the end of our drive way that said ALL UNWANTED, SICK and UNLOVED CATS WELCOME!!...It started with three little sick kittens and I was not a cat person!!...And the rest is history,,# 13 came two months ago without a tail and it cost me $700.00 in vet bills!!....Again, I am able to provide vet care, good nutrition, shelter, and all the love and affection, but what happens if something happens down the line,,Death, job loss, ect,ect,,..

I can not drown them so please don't suggest it,,Also, ignoring a stray cat hanging around will only bring with it MORE unwanted and sick kittens!!..I have no choice, but to capture neuter/spay , feed, shelter, and love them...

I probably look like a hoarder!!,,Oh, ;(   Its not that I ever go looking for them..They always come to me. I would be willing to give them to a good and loving home where they would be loved and cared for "properly"..No one wants them. And frankly, no one I know takes better care of their cats then I do...There are signs posting free kittens, grocery store bulletin boards advertising free kittens, and every other neighbor has a kittens to give away,,Cat sanctuaries and the pounds are full...Hence, my reason for keeping them///...Its so sad and until humans take responsibility for their animals I cant see it ever getting better...Poor little creatures..:(

Any one in a similar situation...

I have Prince my GSD, two horses, and 14 cats!!...Thought??...please be nice.......

Cat woman strikes again. If you have the means and want them don't worry about what is said. Please get them fixed though. :)

My daughter lives at our rural property. She takes in everything. All the dogs and cats that show up, are homeless and unwanted. If they weren't, they wouldn't end up at our place anyway. Neuter and Spay is a must. You can't worry about what if. Had you not given them a place, they would have probably have died a sad lonely death anyway.

Anyone who would suggest drowning a kitten is an abuser, besides being a total idiot, you hit them in the head with a hammer.
You spent $700 on a stray cat, it's not hoarder that comes to mind.
If you die they all may end up eating you,

Actually this story is not as bad or sad as you'd first think,
She lived for her animals and died on her own place as she wanted.

The really sad part now is what's going to happen to these animals.
Most of them should have been put down immediately, but instead they will be trapped, caged and terrorized until in the end someone will finally put them down.
But only after much suffering at the hands of misguided people.

Stray cats do quite well on their own and have become a problem in some communities.
Once feral they can cause many problems to humans and wildlife, they are an invasive species in the wild.

Yeah we have strays, or better yet cat's dumped by people who should have been put down long ago themselves, now feral they cause problems and they get shot.
We don't pay anything for that.
No, my problem is with the mentality of rescue period.
Not that I've never done it because I have many times, but not like these idiots trapping wolf hybrids, or thinking every animal can be rehomed and live happily ever after, they are causing more harm than good for the animals they think they are helping.

You eat meat don't you?
Where do you think that comes from.
