For males, the SV allows 90 matings annually, with a maximum of 60 in Germany.
As for food, your choice, your dog should always be at good health and in perfect overall condition before he mates as well as at the time of mating.

Mating every other day in my opinion is too much and first result of too much mating is Fatigue and thus will loose interest, maybe fertility will be less also. That is my personal opinion but I never had stud business.

The drive for breeding is the strongest drive...if breeding every other day causes the dog to lose interest, he may have low libido or the female may be going out of heat. But breeding, even every day, should not cause a dog to lose interest or become less fertile...not if he is healthy, with a healthy libido. Lack of sufficient basic drive to reproduce is being passed on because of AI.

Agree with Joanro. I am vehemently opposed to breeding dogs via AI because they won't breed naturally. Why on Earth are we doing something so blatantly against nature? Lots of things wouldn't survive in a Darwinian situation, but to go so far as to artificially inseminate dogs because they don't even possess the will to reproduce, one of the most basic survival drives, to me, is asinine.
I would use AI due to distance or death, but that's it. Never because a dog/bitch refuses to breed.
Breeding every day shouldn't dampen the desire/drive.

Most dogs show good health by having shiny costs, energetic movement, & a sparkle in the eye! When any of these are lacking, even if your male is still pursuing females to breed, he is being over used, or not nutritionally supported. Extra feed, extra attention, & extra time with his person should be given, to ensure your male is not simply a breeding machine. Also fresh water, readily available, is important.

For learning purpose
Is it fine that a stud owner breeds his/her stud dog every other day the whole year? Can the male dog do that ?!

Nope, Ibrahim, no matter about health or fertility, at one point every male isn´t that much interested in breeding any more...
There is a point of "over using" - for the stud and for the breed.
Elder dogs, regularly used as studs, normally do show lesser interest in females.
No difference to men...
