Yesterday, September 5, my female celebrated her 11th birthday. We took her for frozen custard :) Kiera's body may be slowing down a little bit and she has a few more grey hairs, but still is as spunky as she was the day I brought her home as an 8 week old puppy. Her enthusiasm for all things in life is contagious and I hope we have many more years together. Happy birthday Kiera! I love you to the moon and back.

Below are some pictures I took last month at the beach. It's hard to sort out the best, I took over 300 shots of the dogs in the waves!

Hanging out with her "little big brother" and best friend, my 5 year old working line male. The sun was too bright for Kiera's once-black face mask so I loaned her my sunglasses for a bit :)

One of the boy:

Thanks for looking!

Looking great Kiera. I love the photos in the waves. The picture with both dogs is so wall worthy.

She is gorgeous!! arn't seniors fun? I love my 11 year old too and I think from now on I will always have a senior in my home since giving him a retirement home. I wish he had been with me his whole life like yours :) Here is to more time with her and continued good health.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I love these dogs to pieces and Kiera was my first GSD. I knew the second I laid eyes on her that she was the one for me and we have been inseparable every since. She is well rounded, tolerates strangers petting her, will not bark at any dogs even if they're freaking out, loves to play ball and f-r-i-s-b-e-e, has a really nice B&H (had to retire from SchH after our 1 because of a back injury Kiera got), we did agility for several years, she helps around the house bringing in groceries or finding the remote, she is wonderful with horses at the barn and my 3 lb pet rabbit who hops around the house. The list goes on an on. I did a lot of research on breeders before I got Kiera but still you never really know. I definitely lucked out and we were meant to be together.
