You couldn't pay me to feed that crap to my rodent colony. I like the mice and the frog i feed them to too much.
Not surprised, Pedigree is bottom of the barrel.

It saddens me to know that this is what my mom and them are feeding "my" precious Jewel "except it's the wet kind". I think it is better than Science Diet, only barely, but still CRAP to say the least.

Dawulf, for years many dogs have eaten and lived long lives eating "crap dog food" like Gaines Burgers and Ol'Roy. I owned one of them - 26 year old mutt that wouldn't touch anything but Gainesburgers.

True Blitzen, all our family dogs ate Alpo when I was a kid.
Difference is now there are more chemicals and just plain crap ingredients all to make more of a profit. My vet friend who does research into dog nutrition says there is a dramatic increase in cancer, diabetes, and other diseases that seem to coincide with the addition of crap in dog food.

Back in the old days the Alpo probably had horse meat from wild horses, now it has scraps from who knows what treated with who knows what and all rendered down together.
And the bulk of alpo, purina pedigree is corn, which dogs are not designed to eat and sprayed with chemicals to keep bugs at bay.
Before commercial foods they were eating table scraps and butcher scraps. So basically the BARF diet.
Maybe we are coming full circle?
