Which kibble do you like best for puppies and why?
The recommendations I've gotten so far are Earthborn Holistic Fish and Taste of the Wild

I started my last puppy (who is now 2) on Taste of the Wild Buffalo and she ate adult food during her whole puppyhood.
I don't bother with puppy food. A good well balanced diet for all life stages should work just fine.

I agree Fry. When I am feeding my pups, once they sort of get past the initial gruel stage, as I call it, I start putting adult food in the blender and then mixing the goat's milk with that. By the time they are 8 weeks old they are eating regular dry kibble. BTW I am a Diamond person and I feed the Hi Energy. My dogs do great on it. The reason I do it that way is cause I have found the pups will only eat puppy food so long and then they want the adult food. By so long, I mean by 12 weeks old, they seem like they are hungry when on the puppy food. The adult food seems to satisfy them more.

Thank you Dragonfry and vonissk.  I am getting a four month old puppy and want to collect as much info as possible on diet for puppies so I can make the right choice.

I've heard a few different opinions on adult food  vs large breed puppy food. Opinions on that? I want to try and avoid potential growth issues.

I fed all my pups Wellness Large Breed Puppy food. My new pup was on TOTW Bison at the breeder, trying to mean well I got the puppy version and oh my! poops were mushy and stinky. Switched to Wellness and much better results. My adults are on Wellness Core, feeding it for over 6 years now. So I am kind of a Wellness gal....

Reason for puppy food.... more specifically made for the nutritional needs of a pup. Feeding it up to 7mo old, then switch to the Core.
Right now I am supplementing with raw chicken feet.

I used Flint River Ranch adult and puppy kibble, only food ALL my dogs could eat without any problems and it has NEVER been recalled for any reason.  www.frrco.com
