Looks like with my shoulder, I am not going to be able to physically handle the 1st 6 weeks of agility training. I still want Cirberus to be able to get stated though. If any one is interested to do the physical part of agility training for 6 weeks in Tyler Texas, PM me.
I will still attend the classes. This will involve doing classes once a week in the evening and probably doing 1 more night of practice.

It's sounds like you've already found the place that you want to train your dog?
Won't the instructor recommend any of his/her students to help you out?

I did not think about that. I will ask. Thank you.

If you're just getting your pup started, you'll probably be working on getting him used to the obstacles.
Depending on your instructor...you may just be able to work with them.
I personally don't like other people running my dogs.
I'd rather they cue off of my body language than someone else's but them again, mine are a bit further along than yours.
Good luck and have a great time!

That is my preference to (that only I work with my dogs). The problem is that the next class is not until this Spring and we are impatient to get started
. Since this is our 1st class, and we are basically clueless, my thought is that most of the class will be spent teaching me what agility is about and getting Cirberus use to the different platform (on leash). It is working with her on leash that will be the challenge.
Is that a fairly realistic thought?

That is a realistic thought.
When I started, the first 16 weeks was focused on getting my dog used to the obstacles and starting them on the basics of the directionals.
What agility club did you end up joining?
