Anyone in the area interested in herding? Right now we will only have AKC A and B course styles with sheep and ducks. As our flock grows we want to offer tending style!
Anyone else around actively training (particularly in the Southeast?)
or Has anyone experience in starting a herding club and how did it go?

Distance is what is motivating me:) I just can't hop in the car and leave the kid and the furry monsters to drive hours for training on a regular basis.
So far we have several shepherds, border collies, a Corgi, Giant Schnauzer, Bouvier and a few other breeds interested.
I can't wait until next year when all of the ewes lamb!

Where is the location? I live in Troy, AL and have been looking for some type of training group to join.. Will you have training classes, or just competitions? If it isn't too far, I'd love to get involved! :)
