Trying to track down dog's breeder / pedigree - Page 1

I am fostering a one year old male GSD imported from Germany.
All the previous owner has is the dog's passport from when he was imported as a puppy.  No pedigree, no parents names, no contract with the seller.  Nothing.
I would like to know a little bit more about the boy.

His name is kondor von der drackendorfer flur. He has a microchip (already dropped them an email) but no tattoo.
His passport # is DE123467178
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

From what we know, the breeder is not or no longer listed with the SV  on the German side and dogs were born in 2005 and listed on working dog. Do you have a pedigree for the dog? If so, can you post a copy of it and pictures of the dog?

Erbe, the OP said there was no pedigree, just his 'Passport' from Germany.

Chris, there are a handful of dogs from the D/Flur kennel entered on this dbase;
mainly the J litter, but also the V rated Holly.  Entries are only 2 - 3 yrs ago,
and dogs born around the early / mid  'oughties.  What I think I would do in the
hope of getting more info and connections is to call up those entries, and PM
the usernames of people who put them on / made changes.

Also I don't know how this works 'cos haven't had to do it myself, but it may be
useful to contact Sabine @ the SV and ask her if there is any way of tracing Kondor's
history through his German registration ?  (Am assuming you are in the US, she deals
with those enquiries for the States;  not sure who handles them if you are based elsewhere).  
I think you can find her address details by Site Search here.  Or maybe another poster with
those to hand will kindly add them ?

there are 44 dogs listed on working-dog.eu with the kennel name drackendorf flur.  surely one of those owners still has contact with the breeder.
the dogs were born beginning in 1989 up thru & including 2007.

Now that everyone is dropping their landline phones in favor of cellphones, it's not as easy to come up with phone numbers these days...
