I'm always on the lookout for natural products. Turmeric is one to consider for dogs with arthritis. Also read that it is a natural alternative to prednisone.

Tried it for a while with one lame dog (who had had Pano, but that
seemed to have given way to Arthritis as he matured - actually it eventually
turned out he had a 'hidden' tumour ). It did not appear to help him -
maybe not surprisingly, with hindsight ! (Nor did it help with his A/F,
despite what this vet says about results for auto-immune conditions).
But my longlasting memory of the attempt is that he smelled of
curry all the time. Now I really enjoy Indian food; but that was a
little TOO much !
I didn't give him huge amounts, just a spoonful on his food twice per
day. Possibly not as much as suggested in the video. But then, in spite
of seeing it recommended many times, this video is the first time I have
heard an amount / dosage mentioned anywhere.

WOW: thanks for sharing, I did know about tumeric but have never tried it; have to remember it is not a cure but for assistance maybe for older dogs or any dogs with arthritis as a natural anti inflammatory. Nan

I used it to help reabsorb sebaceous cysts on my long coat GSD. It worked~ within a few weeks two cysts dissappeared. I should start it up again as she's getting arthritic in her older age.

Never heard of it working on cysts before.

Tumric works synergistically with Bromelain. Dr Clemmons has always promoted these to work as natural anti-inflammatories. It is especially recommended for DM or dogs with DJD or arthritis.

Tumeric actually works synergistically with Bromelaine. They should be given on an empty stomach to have the most effect/
