I have posted something along this line before, but I was interested to see what kind of feedback I would get this time, see if any of you have heared of anything, or tried anything that works for covering the smell of canine estrus. I have heared of using Chlorophyll tablets or powder to cover the scent, has anyone tried this? I have heared having a bitch eat four Rolaids in Peppermint flavor cover the smell too, has anyone tried this, and if so, what were your results? I discovered a product called ANTI MATING SPRAY, by 4 Paws, has anyone used this, if so, how'd it work? I know what some of you might say, "The only way to guarantee no puppies is to get a crate and lock away your bitch until its over." This is true, but I am tired of would-be suiters coming to my door looking to get to my females, so even if it doesn't completely delete the odor, even masking it temperaraly would be nice! Thanks for all of your help! If you have tried something but wish not to go public with it, you may email me privately also. Thanks so much!!! blueskyekennels@msn.com

I have chlorophyll tablets on the way to try right now. My vet breeds and told me to try it to keep my boys from being so nuts. I have a girl in season now and she isn't being bred so the calmer the boys stay the easier my life is. I hope it gets here soon! :-))

If you two (2) would, please let us know how well these work. But even if they work well, I think we all agree that our "boys" are not to be trusted one (1) minute. Bob-O

Bob-O I'd be happy to let you know how it works. I don't expect it to keep the boys "honest" but if it stops the night howling I'll be happy!!

Hey Bob-O, not a problem sweetie! I know you have a stud or two of your own, and I bet if we found something that might "eleviate" some of this headace that is breeding, I sure as heck would be passing it on! Guess I'm going to order myself some Chlorophyll tabs, see how they work!

I have used both the liquid chlorophyll gel caps and the liquid. I have two intact males in the house and have not had a problem at all. With the last female in heat I had here, I didn't give them all the time and noticed a big change in behavior when I stopped using them (I won't make that mistake again!) They still will smell around in the yard where she has been, but they don't exhibit any other behaviors. The females are kept in a room in a crate and are seperated by at least one closed door. Good luck

I would like to know, as recently all four (4) of my females had a simultaneous heat cycle, and the male who stays on the property was an absolute nut case. It is a good thing that I keep a roll of cyclone wire just for such repairs. I knew the boy was randy, but never knew he was that determined. He is definitely his mother's son as portrayed by his newfound skills of destroying a kennel fence. If nothing else, it may prevent an injury. Bob-O

GS Mom How much do you give your girls?

Little Timmy wanted to take his dog for a walk, but Dad knew she was in heat, but Timmy begged and begged. So dad saw a can of Gasoline and rubbed it all over her backend to hide the smell and let Timmy take her for a walk. Well 30 minutes later Timmy rounds the corner to home and Dad see's there is no Dog with him, and He yell's, "where is your dog?" To which Timmy responds, "don't worry dad, she ran out of gas, but there is another dog pushing her home!"

I give 1 to 2 capsules twice a day.
