Which is your favorite? I'm not ashamed to admit that I watched the Courage of Lassie yesterday & enjoyed every hokey minute of it! Talk about war propaganda! And the dogs Lassie trained with we're GSDs, & Elizabeth Taylor was truly a stunning beauty as a child! All in all, a pleasant way to waste part of my Saturday!

The old version of "Incredible Journey" (1963) on you tube, and "Old Yeller" (1957 release) this movie is also on YouTube in entirety.

Yes Joanro, I like the old ones best! Showing my age I guess!

Where the Red Fern Grows...would be it for me.

no question old Yeller and where the red fern grows are great movies (where the red fern grows the book was better). I'm more for the light hearted movies. So probably the Doberman gang.

Another vote for Old Yeller. Also Dog of Flanders. And
even the K9 (with JerryLee) movies. Oh, and Turner &
Hooch.

Loved the Lassie movies as a child-couldn't watch the Courage of Lassie this weekend though-not my favourite dog movie but a cute one was a Walt Disney movie The Ugly Daschund-no GSD in it but a great dane and daschunds-cute movie

Like a sap I also watched Lassie "The Miracle" on Sunday...a 90 minute special in which Lassie has pups & fight a 'wild' dog, which is a very nice looking GSD! ***sigh*** I'm a total sap! jackie harris

I love Turner and Hooch. I also love the classic Old Yeller, Marley and Me, My Dog Skip, Best in Show, and of course K-9.
