The same response as when you posted this the first time - the dog is only 4 months old; too young for me to comment. The cranial edges of the acetabula look like they are lacking the "C" shapes they need, but at this age that formation may not be complete. OFA is normally timely with their response, you will know their opinion soon after you send the xray to them. Are you trying to decide to keep this dog or not?

I would like to see the sockets deeper;  but I also feel that possibly they are not done with formulation??  4 months old does not tell you a lot.  If there was one with less socket than this or if the hip was totally out of it';s socket I will say no chance for that to ever pass;  but in this case I do think there is hope.  Good luck  Nan

at that young age, about all you can tell is if you are starting out with a serious problem or not, but
does not actually give you much of an idea what the xrays will look like in another 20 months.  i dont
see anything horrible----i'd just let this one grow up normally, with normal puppy activity & training
then do hips & elbows at age 2.  good luck.  pjp
