HI Apsel is turning 2 this month, would like a critique on him.

by Nans gsd on 07 June 2013 - 12:06

Nice natural stack by the way, very handsome.  Pasterns look a little weak, but if you stack his front further back about an inch they COULD look better;  nice balance overall;  rear angulation adequate, topline looks goodl  WOW:  I like him but then I like the showlines, prefer German to Am but just like the black/red/tans.  Definitely my cup of tea.  What is his pedigree?  Good luck with him, and at his age he does still have some maturing to do.  Nan

Very nice balanced boy, not overdone or extreme on either end, just the way I like them. VERY CORRECT!!   Should finish easily.  Good luck with him and keep us posted.

Black & tan Male of very good type, above medium size and medium strong, correct proportions; fore leg to height and height to body length. Good head size, good planes, good proportions and good earset. very good & substantial neck of correct length. High withers of good length, very good short and strong back, good short loin, slightly short and slightly steep croup, .very good tailset. Very good hind angulation, very good hocks, good underline, good front angulation, needs more fore chest development, good length of front upper arm but steep, very good shoulder blade lay. A clean correct front, in first picture pasterns look steep but in second picture they look of perfect angle. Allover a very beautiful male type and musculation.

Thanks all for the very nice critiques.  Sonora I am not sure if its the picture or not to be honest, I do know the photographer (me) in top picture was holding another dog who was not pleased about standing still while getting the picture on iphone. He was wagging his tail too and could have moved his feet.
