My 3.5 year old neutered male has lost 10 lbs in the last 12 months. Weighed on the same scale at the Vet office.
The Vet suggested giving him more food. I give him nutro two 8 oz cups in the morning and the same in the evening, so I will increase to 5 8oz cups a day. His activity level is the same and he appears healthy. No change in behavior or appearence. His stools are ok. It just doesn't make sense to me. Would appreciate any feedback!
Thanks

Baxter,
He eats the same amount then as now? If he looks healthy and his appearance is same as it was, I would not worry about it. Those scales are not always zeroed out, and they do have the tendency to not stay accurate the longer periods of time they have been used.
You can increase his food, or if you really want him to gain weight, email me privately, and I can share some detailed information with you on how to do that. :)
Let us know how he progresses.

I think I would question the scale first...
However do you feel he needs to gain, and more importantly does your vet feel he needs to gain, Remembering that the GSD is healthier longer when kept on the lean (not thin) side.
Keep us posted, and wish you luck !!
