I would say a good firm No and/or some redirection. Second Is this your first dog? First GSD?  Dou you have Pedigree Info on her? Third It May not be a bad Idea to enroll in some puppy classes.

What does your original 'correction' consist of? That is, before you hold her down by her snout, which is counter productive for correcting some undesired behavior, depending on what is causing the behavior. Perhaps your initial corrections are not appropriate for the infraction.

What is the setting ?? Other dogs or people around??  Sounds like she thinks you are playing or she is trying to get attention??  Is she doing the jumping and barking all the time or just when she first sees you??  What happens if you ignore her or crate her when she jumps??  Sounds like an exhuberant puppy that wants attention or to play.  What was her environment before you got her as far as attention and other littermates??

Listen to Joanro indeed .. she is the best dog trainer and animal trainer on this site.  Please give her some more background on the puppy, environment and history.  Environment trumps a lot of genetics in puppy development.
