Impossible to tell from the angle of the photos. Take a few side shots while kneeling down. So your about level with the dog.

As others said, side views taken from the same level as your dog would be much more helpful. Hard to say for certain, but could be a Dutch Shepherd. Very nice looking dog.

Could be a dutch shepherd / GSD mix? I've never seen a "Pure bred" german shepherd with brindle but i have seen a lot of dutch shepherds, some with the tan markings. He's a pretty dog.
