June 5 thru 9 - Dickinson TX.
Mark Pellon, National level IPO Helper, and more importantly a US Marine Motivator who is being transferred and will be traveling from VA to CA in early June. I've invited Paul and his wife to stop in Houston for a few days and help us train our dogs. To my surprise, he’s accepted and will be her from June 5 thru 9, 2013.
Mark will also will be available for personal lessons and also to help us out as a visiting club helper. He will help with obedience, tracking and of course protection work and also help to train helpers for certification. Private lessons available at a very reasonable cost of $40 for 50 minutes.

In Mark’s words…….
“I am an active duty United States Marine and have been so since 2004.
I started training dogs in 2006 at the Aloha Schutzhund club in Hawaii. This is also when I started working with the Marine K9 unit on the base. I missed out on getting certified as a decoy due to a deployment. In 2008 I was stationed in Virginia Beach, VA where I met my mentors Carla Van Duyvenbode and Fred Samseer. I became Fred's apprentice in protection work.
I became a certified decoy in 2009. Later I was stationed in Jacksonville, NC where I trained with the Jacksonville Schutzhund club helping Jim Bougie and his Dog Nico get High in trial protection at the 2010 regional championship.
In 2012 I was promoted to Regional and National level in the same day by Mike west and then Confirmed National level by Steve House in early 2013.
I have worked many breeds in protection work to include German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Boxers, Belgian Malinois, Bouvier des flandres, Giant Schnauzers, and Cane Corso.
I have also helped 3 decoys get certified in the last year using a step by step method that has worked well for even the most novice helper.”
