A good friend send me his prelims. Female, 8 months old just got out of heat! I know the picture is not complete but these are prelims so I was not too concerned. Happy Saturday!

Nice and tight, but I'm not sure about the thickness of the necks, especially the left side. What do you think?

best prelims posted in many, many months...

Really nice prelims. If nothing changes, the female will definitely get FCI A stamp.

Blitzen, she's ONLY 8 months! That's the way the bones look in young animals when they're still growing.

That left hip socket could be deeper, though. Still, looks like a definite 'good ' or A-stamp in the making.

Sunny, if the necks are not well defined at 8 months, they are never going to be. That won't change with maturity. It may not be a big deal for this dog. Personally I've never seen a dog with hips this tight and deep with necks this thick, but I'm thinking it is most likely an artifact and perfectly normal for this particular dog. I don't see a more shallow left socket either.

Sorry guys, I forgot I posted this..lol.

So she is in full blown heat, not out of the heat.

Blitzen, I see what you are referring to. Truthfully I am not concerned. She will be x-rayed in 5 months for her stamp and I can post those as well for comparison.

by Blitzen on 27 May 2013 - 19:05

I probably wouldn't be concerned either. Looking forward to seeing the next film. It will be a good chance for me to learn.

If you're talking about the left side of the picture, 'cause that's left hip as the right side f the picture has a big ol R on it... Anyway, being as we can't see the knees, it's possible that the leg on the left side of the picture is not rotated properly. If the knee is not centered, and is instead rotated out, then the neck will appear thicker.
They look good a tight and deep.
