Last I knew Dar was in Tennesse. I cann't seem to find the link to the breeder that bought him right now. I just bred one of my females to a Dar son. Jason Sidener www.vonsidener.com

My Czech friend does. Very nice dog. I have bred a couple of my z PS females to him. He is located 1hour North of NYC. He has several sons working for the RCMP. We also have stud dog Miky Ja-He who is on the database. Jason 518-858-3606

Tennesse was right. Kuper Haus GSD, listed as "retired", but I don't think they even had him for a whole year!? http://kuperhausgsd.com/studpage.html

Who are they?

by Gustav on 04 February 2007 - 03:02

This post is in reference to HD with Grim.I have imported two Czech dogs that were Grim granddaughters through Xeros z PS.I have also talked extensively with the breeder of one of them about Grim.He is very knowledgable of all the z PS dogs of the past twenty years. His take is that Grim was a great performance dog and an excellent producer when bred to the right bitches. Or the inverse is he will produce problems with the wrong bitches. Grim will not improve your hip situation. He won't hurt it either. He also does not give hardness like say Titus did. Knowledable breeders in the Czech republic were successful with Grim with bitches with strong hip history and good to great temperament.Grim is not a dog to linebreed on but i won't go into that on a public forum, but privately I'll express what i have heard from knowledgable people. He's a nice dog and he has produced some nice dogs, but he won't correct certain deficiencies especially hips and temperament.

Dar is retired...I believe for medical reasons. Sold my stud to them (Rex), and my experiences with Mrs. Kuper has been absolutely wonderful! :-) She has several litters on the ground right now.

Gustav, Thank You for passing on the information about this dog. I only wish more people that train with or have trained with popular stud dogs would give more input. It is very difficult to get CORRECT information on the performance, production and working tempermant of dogs. We so often see breeders and buyers making decisions based on book scores. To me this means little about about the dog but more about his training. Many dogs are overlooked for breeding because of low scores. From the information provided it seems his progeny should be bred to dogs with hips better than their own. Which should be done as a matter of course, especially by the novice breeder. Kyle
