Can someone pl recommend a vet/radiologist in NJ (central NJ preferred) who knows how to take X-rays for OFA eval. Also, is the dog usually sedated during the procedure, I cant imagine getting films done without sedation.

I have no idea how far this is from you, when I go it's about an hour and 40 minute drive from Salisbury, Ma.
I take all my dogs to Dr. Mello for hip & elbow x-rays, Labs & GSD's, so far I think I've taken about nine,
I got a couple excellents, a few goods and a couple fairs, the two excellents were on one Lab and one GSD.
He does them while the dog is awake, that is why I go to him:) I don't want my dogs to have a bad reaction
to the anesthesia and die from checking out hips & elbows, and being able to take them home with you right after
the x-ray is the best!
I think it is $250.00 right now for OFA hips & elbows, and you leave with the x-rays on a CD, he does digital x-rays.
