Huskies need help- any Husky people here? Craigslist...poor things - Page 1

I saw this on CL; poor dogs. Morbidly obese along with the rest of the problems...

sent to someone I know in Husky rescue, but he is in LI.....

Well, at least the person appears to be trying to be as brutally honest as possible, instead of prettying things up to try and get someone to take them and hope they'll fall in love with the dogs before they discover the various issues to contend with... The male is unlikely to be placeable anywhere, with any group--aggression towards humans is simply not acceptable for the breed, ever, so that dog clearly does not have a correct temperament to start with.  The female might have a shot, since food aggressiveness isn't unusual and can be managed with some common sense and either experience or excellent guidance from a mentor.  I did contact the person who posted the craigslist ad, and referred them to a fairly new Siberian rescue group in IL that appears to be pretty well funded and have excellent facilities and resources...who knows? Maybe someone from that group will have a place they'll be willing to rent to the craigslist poster under Sec. 8 and the dogs can live out their days with their present owners. <shrugs> Worth a shot.
