Anyone using them?  Thinking about purchasing the dual receiver model.  Do they deliver the same "power" as a dogtra?  Any other thoughts on them would be appreciated...thanks!

Why would anyone want to purchase a remote coller for the "power"?

Isn't the value in such a collar the levels of power, and being able to tune a dog into the least amount of "power" required to enhance a behavior that the dog already knows?

It was a simple question as far as relating one collar to the other.  I am used to dogtra...Maybe instead of trying to start trouble and being small minded...as it seems you are...you could have realized I was asking for the very reason of making sure I didn't over shock my dog with the collar.  So for the slow and small minded idgets like you I'll ask like this.  Is 25% level on an einstein collar the same stimulation level as 25% level on a dogtra...and so on.  What are the differences in the 2...and only people that want to really answer my question please comment...not trying to get in a debate about ecollars...anyone who knows me knows that I love my dogs and would never mistreat them in any way.  Thanks again.

I was curious about the Einstein Collar so I looked it up on a vendor's website.  The write up was interesting but they usually have a review by the company, which was missing.  I traded emails and talked to someone at the company who was knowledgeable about the collar.

He said the thing that sets the Einstein Collar apart from other ecollars is that it has the ability to dial in 2 different settings when using the collar with multiple dogs.  Lets say you are using the unit with 2 dogs.  Each dog has it's own sensitivity.  One dog might need 22 and the other dog might need 44.  With most units, you have to switch the transmitter setting from 22 to 44 and back.  With the Einstein Unit, you can set it up so that 22 always goes to one dog and 44 goes to the other dog without having to mess with the dial.

The guy I talked to said that he didn't notice any difference between the stimulation of the Einstein and dogtra.

The vendor is Gun Dog Supply.  http://www.gundogsupply.com

The people at Gun Dog seem to be very knowledgeable about the products and will give you their honest opinion.  The guy I talked to doesn't use the Einstein and I asked him why.  He didn't like the transmitter.  He said that you have to look at the transmitted to determine the setting where as with most other transmitters, you can figure out the setting by playing with the dial (am I at the low end of high end of the dial).

Thanks guys.  Jeffs..are you saying that there is no stopping point turning left or right on the knob??

You should contact the gun dog people about the collar.  I've never used it and was just relaying info.  When I first read the description, there was a mention about how it mimicked the mother's nip.  I thought that meant it was something knew.  But it's not.  The guy said he didn't like it because you had to look at the read out to determine the setting.  I understood what he was saying that on other transmitters you could tell what setting it was on by fiddling with the knob and you couldn't use that method to determine the setting with an Einstein..

The guys at Gun Dog have checked out all of their ecollars and seemed to be very familiar with them all.  They seem real nice and didn't have an agenda.
