I'm mainly an American Bulldog fancier, but my husband is a GSD guy, so I decided to raise and train one...not a Czech dog as he usually prefers, but out of a super nice Belgium dog bred to a motherline that produces hard dogs w/ tons of drive.

I picked him out of a big litter at 8 weeks old.  He's now 16 mos old and should be trialing for his BH in the next couple of months.  Everything you could ask for in a dog, super high drive but also very social, good w/ kids, etc...and insane strong nerves.

Also, OFA Prelim Good

These are some vids of him working...progressing from a 9 week old puppy to 1 year old.

Where he was at 12 months.

Man he's gotten so big, and handsome! I remember when he was just a cute little fluff ball (with really pointy teeth!). Ahh how the time flys!

What a spectacular looking animal you got yourself there. Does the breeder of this dog have a website by any chance? I've entered "von Edgecombe German Shepherds" on Google and didn't get any results. I would like to see what they have in their kennel.

No kennel.  Just a friend who has some nice dogs and occasionally breeds to some nice studs in our region.  He repeated the breeding.  They are currently on the ground at about 7 weeks old.

Awesome videos. I really enjoyed them. Did you learn how to train from a local club or? I would be interested to know. Awesome dog! Congrats!

Thank you!  I am lucky in that my husband has been in Schutzhund for 20 years, and our club has 2 National Level helpers...also that Hombre is just over the top in most things.  I've titled 6 dogs (5 American Bulldogs and one Giant Schnauzer) to BHs, 1 WH, and my old American Bulldog to ScH3...this is my first GSD, and he is a lot of fun.

Great work. I agree you are lucky to be surrounded by all that experience and knowledge. Although I am a devout GSD lover and loyalist to the breed I have to say you also have a very powerful and beautiful  looking dog in your avatar as well.

Good luck with your pups and your continued success! From my point of view he's a winner in the making!
