Here we go again ... 4 days until the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby.  Woot Woot !!

Tongue Smile  Late speed will win this race - no long shots winning this year. Whisper  Will Take Charge looks like Secretariat.  Omg Smile
The horses running have great names too !! LOL

I'm leaning towards Mr. Orb most definitely - at least on one too win ticket. Not sure about place and show tickets.

Not sure yet about across the board, exactas, fectas, yet either. So exciting !!

Who is your picks ?

I will stick my foot out and pick Normandy Invasion...Maybe it is time that the win will be his.....comes from a line of speed and stamina and it is time now..
Maybe he can stretch his nose a little more and win.
It is time he get out of second place. He may do it this time but he does have to overcome Orb and Veranzo....

However with Javier taking Normany Invasion, leads to what happens to Revolutionary with BOREL, one of my favorites....if Borel is indeed gonna be riding Rovolutionary?  I am not sure but I would have to say   Borel is capable of making any winner win again and again,,, Javier is just about as top knotch also.....Hold my breath....hope either takes the win.

Watching Secretariat always gives me goose bumps!

I was working at Monmouth park when the Belmont took place. Our trainer took everybody from our stable to the bar after the races, and we watched the race live on TV. I'll never fore get the uproar in the bar (all race trackers) watching Secretariat run. Ten years later, in Fl, I got to break several of his colts and fillies for the track.

When I watched Will Take Charge, I said the same thing as BE...he was like watching Secretariat again....but I don't think as fast. Anyway, that's who my bet's on. As for Borel, the pressure gets to him, especially with a lot of media coverage.

Here's Mr. Orb when he broke his Maiden (take note of all the other contenders and how they run)  - It's supposed to be 65 with Rain on Sat - Orb loves the slop !!  Tongue Smile

Impressive, but at 1:45 in 1 1/16, Big Red could have had him by 15 lengths.
