Anyone have any idea what this could be?

It's been like this for more than a month! It's luckily not getting worse but also not getting better. No other symptoms, no scratching or flaky skin....The skin looks a bit darkened and when it's cold it gets a pinkish color. I've tried bactroban, tissue oil, Aloe Vera and nothings seems to work. This is the only bold spot on his body. We don't have any fences or doors were it is possible for him to stick his nose through so it's not a chaffing mark. Anyway if it was it should have healed by now. no previous wounds either that I know of.
Has anyone had experience with this or have any idea what it might be and what can I do?
..Sorry, posted in wrong section, I don't know how to move it.

My guess would be ring worm. But you should probably get a scraping and take a look under microscope.. Obviously needs to be treated. Have you tried coconut oil, but only do so after you see what it is. BOL Nan

Try vetericyn.

Skin issues can be so many things.....allergies, ringworm, demodex, sarcops, thyroid issues, autoimmune issues.... I'd start with a scraping. You can look at the nose under a blacklight if you have one at home, that can help rule out ringworm. If there's nothing obvious on the scraping, the vet could try to grow a culture.

Not all ringworm fungus glow under a blacklight, which sux because it's was a great way to test for it. Get it scraped and see what they vet finds.

After just having to deal with it a few months ago with a puppy I bought, I think this may have very similar tendencies as Demodex. Seems it has little bumps on the bridge of the nose and the thinning of the fur around the edges is very much like Demodex.
Thats just my opinion. Please keep us posted.

our pup just scraped hair off her snout by sticking her head through a tight spot in the fence and looks just like that.

Demodex or thyroid issues. Have a scraping done AND a thyroid panel and report back.
How old? Neutered? Other issues?

and by thyroid panel she does NOT mean having your vet run an in office test. a five panel test with Dr Dodds or an 8 panel test done with the university of Michigan. the test they run in office is a waste of time and money.

Yes, PANEL, not simple test in office.
