I organized a Helper Seminar with Dave Kroyer for this weekend in the Houston TX area and.............
WOW, I expected 25 or so to attend and the count today was 48, with just over half in working spots.
Plenty of titled dogs, dog handlers and people willing to sharpen their skills.
Tomorrow should be just as exciting!

He was at our club I think last weekend... I wasn't able to go unfortunately, but I've heard it went pretty well! Best of luck on having another good turn out tomorrow.
I'm at the WDC. :)

48 attendees. Over 25 working to learn and/or sharpen their Helper skills. 2 Junior helpers in training AND plenty of titled dogs to keep everyone learning.
The first day was devoted to IPO trials and working each in the patterns. Second day was about developing skills and understanding for work dogs in clubs. Dogs were worked and discussions on how to improve the performance of each.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success.
More seminars to come..........
preparing puppies/dogs for protection work - what the owner needs to do.
how to handle your dog in protection practice - working better with your helper.
bridging skills - food treats to tugs........how to get spot on obedience.
are just a few thoughts.......
Houston Hundesport is new and we are working to develop slills and a network of skilled trainers so we can flurish and grow.
Special thanks to Taunya Mravik, Syndi Zimmerman, Nobelheim German Shepherds and others for providing so many trained dog, we couldn't have done it without you. So many excellent dogs enjoying their work.
