I was thinking of switching dry dog food to different meat source after reading dogfoodanalysis.com. So, from chicken base to lamb to red meat to fish every 2 months or every 35lbs bag. Anybody has experience with this gradual switch?

We have heard a similar thing, that it's good to change off every now and then. We feed Canine Caviar, Lamb and Pearl Millet for a while then Chicken and Pearl Millet for a while. I like to feed the lamb during the warmer months and the chicken during the cooler months. Don't know if it really makes a difference but we do it anyway.

Hmm good question. I often wonder if I should do this myself. After all we don't eat the same source of protein every day either. Unless a dog has a upset stomach or allergy problem, I think it would be a good idea. I had my dogs on lamb and switched to chicken. I noticed more gas with the lamb. Other than that, coats and weights are still the same/good. Been thinking about switching to fish. Be intrested to hear others opinions or trials and errors here.
