heres 2 pictures of her I'm trying to figure what's likely in her --we got her at a humane society and I have a huge headache from them

Sorry for the extra post this page is *not* iPhone friendly

So anyway first the "story" was that she was transferred from another state and they gave a list of like 10 things she could be *now* there claiming they have no info on the parents but there people think she acts like a boxer mix

In being out and around with her (I think she was born dec 28? Thereabouts?) a LOT of people think she has some pit in her I do think her colouring looks odd (fawn sides brindle spine minimal white with a mask and a dark top half of a tail like its saying where to clip it to the cleo eyes)

Asking around one vet-emt guy was certain she was a pit and even said to say "boxer mix" to not call her a pit

See thing is pits are illegal in the city I live in and personally I don't care if she is or not but I don't know how anyone else will be and if they decide she is a pit then what? I def know I wanna foreword the fines to the humane society as they clearly mis-marked her if that is the case

So what do y'all think? I'd guess her weight at like 18 pounds except my moms cat I think weighs more then this puppy (my cats small about half the size of the puppy and she is like 7.5 pounds)

I'd be glad to answer any questions I can (another asking inspired me to see and she has webbed feet but that dosent mean too much)

I don't know what she is but she is adorable!!!! Such beautiful eyes!

I would confidently tell them she is an American line boxer mix - even if you don't know what she is, act like is what I mean.

Pit mix, hard to say right now what else might possibly be in there.  Time will tell as she matures.

Biyu,

even if she is a pit mix, I was under the impression you would want to keep the dog and therefore just say something plausible...  especially if you does not know for sure, which you do not as you have received conflicting information.  can't you show the people that make this decision the paperwork you have from the organization you adopted her from?

Just tell the idiots that she's a Florida Cracker Cur (Or black mouth cur), and that most Cracker Curs have brindle bodies and some black masking.
Since Cur's are cross bred hunting dogs they could have any number of breeds mixed into them. Mostly some sort of hound (Brindle is very popular in hounds) some bulldog, just not english, maybe some terrier, boxer, greyhound, heck what ever hunts. :D

Here is a cur dog working cattle

Here's another one. Mostly they look muttly, so you wouldn't be lying. ;)

Looks more like a boxer mix than a pit mix to me. there are brindle boxers so coloring would fit.

Can you post some photos of the dog standing, side view, front and back views too?
