PMWatch

by PMWatch on 08 April 2013 - 18:04

This morning when we were out running a man ran over and killed our neighbor's dog right in front of us. He gunned the engine and didn't even try to break. It was a little fox terrier named Diego. The owner couldn't deal with burying the dog so my husband and I did it. I planted an Azalea bush over the pup's grave. If everyone would please say a little prayer for the dog. It's shameful how cruel people can be.

PMWatch- It is sad when any ones pet dies or is killed, having said that, and at the risk of sounding insensitive.

Can you expand on the story?

You said " This morning when we were out running a man ran over and killed our neighbor's dog right in front of us. He gunned the engine and didn't even try to break.

Why was your neighbors dog out running with you and your husband?     Was it on a leash?     Where was the dog when it got hit?    On the road, sidewalk, etc?

Again, I don't want to sound insensitive...but you made a Post that leaves more questions than answers?

Just asking

RIP Diego. People are so cruel.

Pirates Lair

Dawulf- how can you can say that without knowing the facts?  Or at the least...more information?

No where was is stated that the driver of the car drove off without stopping, it was not explained how it happened or if the dog was on a leash or running in the street.

What was the situation? A quiet country road with no traffic, or a busy street with oncoming traffic in both directions and a loose dog in the path of one of those vehicles?

Again, I'm just asking for clarification on a Post that provides little information.

I'm sure that I am not the only person reading this post that would like to know the answers.

I am so sorry.  This is for little Diego.

I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you vleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!

"He gunned the engine and didn't even try to break." is enough information for me to say people are cruel. Knowing first hand how people are cruel is enough for me to say people are cruel.

I can tell you a story about finding dogs with their legs tied with chicken wire and laid on the train tracks. So this would not surprise me. People are CRUEL.

Not taking sides here but maybe he gunned the engine in an attempt to try and avoid hitting the dog?  Maybe if he braked hard it would have caused an accident?  Same for swerving etc.
