Does anybody has experience with the true reimbursements of this insurance? I have had it for years, offered over my work place, but never a need to use it. My Schnoodle was diagnosed with diabetes in December and has now gone blind from quick onset of cataracts. He would need surgery with an estimated cost of $3000, which does not include follow up visits at $70 each. A call with a rep gave me an estimate that the allowance is approx $1700 for this diagnosis (including anesthesia and tests), which the specialist visit and any follow up visits would fall into it as well. So basically it sounds like it covers hardly anything. Kind of a though pill to swallow.

So looking for input from folks that had a similar medical problem and their experience with reimbursement from VPI.
