I wanted to post this for several reasons...
1st I wanna say Thanks to all the Vetrans out there who continue to offer sound, Advice/Suggestions for those of us who are very much still "suckling" if you will. LOL Bet your hopin we wean early hhh?
Just kidding but all kidding aside, I am Thankful for having this board available to retrieve knowlegeable advice from proven vetrans in the breed. So Thank You !
2nd I wanted to let the "newbies" know that it's not so bad here, expect a diverse range of responses regarding any post you may make, Diversity is good, gives you choices, makes you think harder and choose wiser. well hopefully anyway ! :-)
Seriously though this is a great place to seek answers/suggestions to questions or issues that may arise as a newbie GSD Owner/Breeder/Enthusiast.
Besides if it weren't for the "Newbies" who would continue to promote this great breed of dog ?
The people here want to see you succeed for the breed sake ! Don't be affraid to ask, but do toughen up your toes if you have sensitive feelers and learn to take what you can from the posters who consistently offer sound words of wisdom.

Hmmm .... that gives me some courage to ask.
I know there are numerous sites that give the fine details on the outcome of matings between black & tan / sables / bi-color Gsds. Can someone explain the same in simple words without going into the depth of this? All that Ay, Agouti, alleles are a bit too much for me to grasp!!

Ditto EchoMeadow:No matter h ow many yeaars we've been doing this there is a wealth of info that I dont know and with each dog comes a new experience. I veteran of the breed told me one time U aint seen nothin yet, when u have been breeding as long as I have you've seen and heard it all . She has been in this world of show and work gsds for 49years and the other lady 45 yrs with her husband also. Thanks for a great year 2006 of info and advice and looking forward to 2007 and verbalizing on this board ......
