Why is it that when a: (not all people) *Person reads a book on dogs, they are in the learning stage of becoming a professional trainer and breeder. *The person trains one dog and he or she becomes a “TRAINER” *Starts training the second dog, he or she is now a “PROFESSIONAL TRAINER” *Police officer that handles one police dog is now a “POLICE K-9 TRAINER” *They train one person to train a dog = “MASTER TRAINER” *Takes any two dogs and lets them breed and they become a “BREEDER” or “PROFESSIONAL BREEDER” *Import two titled dogs, Breed them together. No doubt a “PROFESSIONAL BREEDER” *Talk on PDB for six months (some even less) - one year. Starts “GIVING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE TO OTHERS”. It’s sad that people will actually listen to them. *As soon as they accomplish all the above then they begin to develop the almighty ATTITUDE and THINK they know everything about training, health and the breed(s). *Also the older a person is, then the more they can lie about how many years of experience they really have. *LMAO I almost forgot. A Veterinarian or Veterinarian Technician can go to an Animal Behavior Seminar and they become an ANIMAL BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST. This list could go on forever……………………………………. It seems like the people are just trying to BS their way into making easy money or maybe they are not getting enough attention at home, or both. Jen

It is for the same reason that when someone does something not so out of the ordinary, we see people referring to that person as a HERO. We have lost our compass in this society. People who do what you suggest have no real life and no real accomplishments on which to base their claims. It is also the same as the litter after litter advertised here who will make EXCEPTIONAL SAR, POLICE, SPORT etc. dogs....each and every pup. Sometimes this is advertised when the parents have nothing really to show either. It just goes to show how far people will go to sell a litter. NO litter has every single pup that is going to excel. Further, we should all be so lucky as to sell a dog to someone who will do something with the dog. Among people on this board, Eichenluft is one breeder who breeds from stock who are accomplished and she endeavors to sell to people who will do something with her pups. However, not every one does. If a given pup has a forever home with a loving and responsible owner, that should be enough for most of us. And yes, someone like ANA can make big bucks by selling two entire litters to someone.....for God knows what purpose. But, he/she is not alone. We have a winner here in my area who does the same thing and then sells the pups for 4 or 5 times what was originally paid. The lack of ethics here is no less than in the real world. We just see it concentrated and I get so ill sometimes I do not even want to read this board.

Who cares. Its not affecting me or my dogs unless I allow it to. The world sucks and is full of shitty people, suck it up and drive on.

Mosemancr, It is too bad you do not care if something does not affect you personally. This is exactly why so many things remain the same in life.....no one gives a damn.

I dunno. I never HAVE figured out exactly what is a "Master Trainer," anymore than I can understand the definition or purpose of the term "elite club status." God forbid I should ever be, or have, either one! ;) Shelley
