Need Opinion on Future Breeding - Page 1

I don't totally understand Line breeding but would this make a good breeding, or is it too close.

What are the sire and dam like?  That's one thing I like to know.

Im sorry Sire is ready for IPO-1 and close to 2  (G) HD-ZW-72 rating, His first trials he scored 62 Tracking, it rained, 88 Protection and 80 on Obedience.

Dam is less than 1 year,  she is in training, Going for BH next month or 2, and Training for her IPO-1, Protection and Tracking is over the top,a little weak on obedience,no breeding for at least 1 1/2 years. A lot of prey drive will come out of this breeding. Probably some screamers.....should have no problem doing sport work.

Gustav, I see where the sport potentials could come from, but where would the screamers come from?

Is this a planned breeding?  The dam is less than a year old but is getting a BH?  Don't they have to be 15 months?

To me...A Pedigree is just a tool...One of the things I look at to see if this would be a good match or not...

I think "Slamdunc" is Right-On when he's asking what the dogs are like...It's something that's very important to me too...It helps to match up the right dog to the right dog...or as well as we can...

Let's face it...Everytime we breed it's a "Crap Shoot"...You never know exactly what we're going to get until the moment...But we try to make an educated guess and do our best at eliminating any problems...

A few factors to look at or to use as a tool:

*Pedigree
*Working Ability
*Physical Factors
*Breeding Factors: Problems with breeding
*Progeny (if known)
*Siblings
*Personalities of the Dogs (I like to mix a dog with great Aggression with a dog that has great Ob)

**Any and All History of the dogs would be helpful...

She has to be 15 months before you can get her BH.

Why would anyone want to produce a screamer. To me, that is just way to much prey drive. And yes, I have a screamer. The prey drive is a bit over the top. Not an asset I like to instill, to me, not an asset at all.
