As the year draws near an end, on behalf of my family I wish each of you in the GSD world the most enjoyable Christmas (or whatever you wish to call it) that you can have and the most prosperous New Year of your lives. Merry Christmas to all also. Thanks for all of the "free" advice :) It would be silly for me to suggest anyone who visits this site regularly to do a little something extra for our canines this holiday season because I know ya'll will (yep, I'm a hillbilly :), so I will instead suggest this to all. Drop by your local Human Society or Shelter and drop off some doggie biscuits or treats, or better yet, some old blankets they can use for the litters of puppies. Most of our dogs get treated really well but the dogs in the shelters get little or no human attention and do relish it when it comes along. Make a dogs day and do something for one that does not belong to you. My wife and I walk the dogs at our local shelter and give them treats once in a while. It can be a pain with them pulling and tugging us around (although half of them refuse to come out of the kennel cage because they are afraid and we have to pick them up and carry them out to the grass area), but it sure does make their spirits light up, at least for a while. Doright - what a wonderful idea. You're right - ours are spoiled rotten and those poor animals have no people to fuss over them.

Also add extra bedding to your dog houses. My dogs love when I clean house for them.
