Hi Guys - Has anyone bred these two colors before and based on dominant/recessive, etc...etc...parents...etc...etc...what do you typically get colorwise in a litter - or can you say?

Hi GSDLVR a freind of mine bred a litter of these colours a good few years ago. The colours now are some pale blk and tan.. and some very very light sables. Cheers

You can get just about anything. All of my pups from this color combo came out the same. Black and red/tan. NO sables.

when u have heavy blk/red lines behind the male my experience is all blk/reds but i have dark sable not light sable. all are dark pigments but sometimes there have been 2 sables and 8 blk/rd.

The sire has blk/red and blk/tans all throughout - the dam is that light grey wolf color sable...her sire is also...not sure about her dam. Does that help? I don't know the rules of dominant recessive with Sable Black/Tan Bi-color Black Does anyone know what to expect?

Thanks for the input. What does it take to get a bi-color? I saw some gorgeous bi-colors in the pedigree a ways back (great grandparents).

I have seen two dark sables produce bi colours.. But like the guys on here said you can get anything. Its possible for a blk and red dog.. and a pure black dog will produce a bi colour.. Look at the the bi colours you see in the pedigree and look at there parents..
