Can someone explain how to keep the bloodlines rejuvinated when alot of the popular dogs go back to some of the same dogs that could have problems. This has fascinated me, but have been afraid to ask because I really do not want to be ridiculed for not knowing.

It's pretty cold here of late. I walk outside in the am and the grass is white and crunchy. What the hell happened to California??? Is this what they call winter? We don't always get that here. =D

You can do it by trying to avoid the over-used bloodlines.Check several generations in pedigrees to see what's lying in wait for you!
Weather in South Florida - 78, sunny, breezy - ho ho ho!

Do a total outcross to bring in new blood.

This is a problem in most breeds. Here are 2 links to some excellent articles on the subject.
