JOZOLLI

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all true shepherd lovers from Zollhaus GSD, Scotland. (and my apologies to all those at crewe whose christmas cards I had in the van... and left in the van) I wondered if anyone fancied sharing their highs of 2006 or the best thing that happened in 2006, or just an impressive dog/bitch from 2006 - lets try for a discussion without the fighting eh? Personally I have a few, but one which sprung to mind immediately was being asked to handle a UK champ show winning bitch at the Belgian Sieger show. She performed out of her skin on the day (first time I'd taken her) and made about 25 places to lead her group under Herr Bosl. It wasnt my dog, it wasnt a CC, and very few folk I knew witnessed it - but it was a real buzz - handling a good performer really always is and 'Sophie' really made my day! definately worth a bottle of 'kreik' after the class.

seeing Zamp vom Thermodos being crowned Sieger 2006 and Vegas du Haut Mansard gaining VA8 and both of their Sires, Quantum von Arminius & Pakros d' Ulmental respectively, being VA - ALL in the same year. Seeing my new male Ice look and perform superbly at his first Show in the UK, and the numerous compliments paid to him, on the day and since. Believe me we take nothing for granted and I was tense and nervous most of the day. To be awarded the RCC was icing on the cake.

Are personal things acceptable? :) Best thing...finally found a nice Schutzhund dog that loves to work as much as I do, and has actually taught me to enjoy tracking. I really think 2007 is going to be a great year for us. Next best thing...bought a little bitch pup who is even more intense than he is, haha. Its one thing to have a really good dog, but it's heaven to have a pair of them. Family is doing well, friends are great, couldn't ask for more. Except for hubby to build me an A-frame for Xmas :) Life is good and I wish you all the best as well for the holidays and the upcoming year.

Bringing home my precious new puppy and watching her grow and learn. Each and every day is a new experience with her. She's absolutely awesome. I look forward to many wonderful years in her presence. Merry Christmas to All! Here's hoping 2007 brings wonderful blessings to each and everyone. God Bless You All and your families and beloved canines.

Well, we have had a fantastic year in dogs and there have been numerous high's, the most recent with Starhope's Qualli finishing an outstanding show year and taking her first RCC in her last yearling class at Crewe. It was so unexpected but bloody brilliant:-) Next on the list has to be my wee sweetheart Pesky Lesky (Conbhairean Leska) winning a class of 13 lovely females in a large LG show in Germany, what a feeling that was I tell you! However, topping them ALL for me was training & handling Conbhairean Erin to complete a truly outstanding courage test at the Belgian Sieger show in August. Boy that had to be the best feeling in the world and one I will remember for ever & ever!

I don't breed or show GSD's, Blitz is a spoiled pet, but I do enjoy seeing my friends do well with their dogs. My best moment this year was seeing Galaxy von Ajaye SCH III become the first American bred, owned, trained and HGH titled dog to ever compete at the German Siegerschau in the HGH class. This dog has made breed history. May 2007 bring more wonderful accomplishments for the breed and for those who own and breed these great dogs. I've been there, done that with my original breed. Now I just sit back and enjoy reading about the accomplishments of the rest of you.

Many thanks for adding comments - I enjoyed reading them! must admit I half expected the usual 'folk' to add nasties - but perhaps 2007 will be a new year after all. Videx - Ice looked great - well done! and much luck for 2007. Heather - I was super proud of you, Erin and Leska on our jaunts this year - but you forgot the off lead gait at the Belgian Sieger too - goosebumps we had!!! And blimey you can go when you want to! Maligator - I am only just learning about schutzhund and working dogs - that is the job of my friend Fiona where our dogs are concerned, but since it all stems from play, and my part in things is to play, play, play with them - that too leads to great times in the fields! Happy shepherding to all enthusiasts for 2007! Hope to see you there... Jo, Darcey, Xandro, Zorro, Nada and of course Zollii x

SPARKY

memories of 2006 highs and lows. best part for me was Babette v Louwershoeve taking top award 2006 British seiger show for the second time. and also winning 2 cc's same weekend hopefully her crowning cc will come in 2007. another would be watching my friend Alan face when his female Cassy v Amulree took RCC it was fantastic. the low would be on sad day of 22nd October when my best friend and hero died, Uri vom Amulree who I miss very much but he left me with so many good memories. although he was a top show dog, he was a very special buddy to me as we had done so much together. so hopefully in 2007 his new grandchildren will carry on his legacy. Happy christmas and all the best for 2007 from kennel vom Amulree to every GSD enthusiast

Best Moments of 2006 were our own victories for me. In a little over a year I took my HOT GSD through the CGC, TDI, BH, AD and finally the SchH1. She entered her first conformation show, a regional event and gaited away with a SG in the Untitled Adult Class. All of that could not have happened without the help of a wonderful supportive working dog club! And now...I anxiously await the first litter under my kennel name to be whelped any minute! I look forward to additional "best moments" for 2007!

Hey Sparky... Do you realise I was there each of your best moments and unfortunately the worst too. thats what you call a mate eh? While we're at it... another highlight for me was Cinders winning her class at BAGS coz she was showing for her Belgian Mum and for her 'adopted mum' (ME!) Thanks for keeping me part of the plan mate!
